Who we are

Denver Child Care Academy's mission is to deliver high quality care and guidance to young children by supplementing the home environment and providing the children with an atmosphere that is rich in meaningful learning experiences during the early formative years.

Our philosophy is that all children will be treated with respect and at no time will be subject to physically or verbally demeaning punishment. We will provide a creative and warm environment which will include: arts, crafts, music, sensory activities, academics, stories, emotional regulation and manners, indoor/ outdoor play, quiet times, and nap times.

Vision

Providing our children with a prepared environment that provides the opportunity for physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Structuring the organization to promote professional, creative, well-trained, ethical, and accountable employees.

Utilizing the most modern and effective practices and methods.

We are excited that you have chosen Denver Child Care Academy (DCCA) to fulfill your child care needs. At DCCA, we strive to provide you and your child with the highest quality of care and the best, nurturing learning environment. Your child’s safety is our number one priority at DCCA. We provide all children with developmentally appropriate activities and materials to ensure their well-being while in our care. We have been proudly serving the community since 1960, providing you with high quality childcare and a well-educated staff.

Play

To allow for maximum fun, our center has the largest playground in Denver that includes a Jungle Gym, sports field and our very own Putt-Putt golf course. With all that fun comes hard work. At the Denver Child Care we provide a curriculum that challenges students to interact, collaborate, and problem solve in an environment in which they are able to thrive.

Security

Each of our buildings are expected-and demanded to have high standards of cleanliness, hospitality and security. Each of our building are equipped with high definition cameras, alarm system, and access controlled doors for ultimate security. All visitors must be checked in and ID's verified.

History

Denver Child Care Campus has been serving the Southwest Denver community since 1960. We are the oldest and most prominent learning center in the area. The center opened its doors during a time when there were no providers for child care in the Southwest Denver area. Being the first, the founders had a vision to provide quality education with a fun and safe environment. Those are the values that we have carried forward for the past 55+ years.
The Denver Child Care Campus started out in our main building called Denver Child Care Center in 1960. Due to the high demand for our excellent Preschool program, in 2014 we added another Preschool classroom to the house west of the center, which is called Denver Child Care Center II. As a testament to our high quality academic program, in 2016 we expanded our campus to a brand new state of the art building that is located to the east of the Center. This building is called the Denver Child Care Academy. It is home to our Infant, Tiny Tots, Toddler, Junior-Pre, and Pre-school programs.

Teachers and Staff

All of our staff must go through an extensive background check which includes the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint check. Once they have passed the background check, we assign them to a classroom which is especially suited for their talents and expertise.

Nutrition

Each of our centers also follows a healthy food regime that helps fuel learning. Our diet consists of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; low-fat milk dairy products; less sodium and fat, and the right amount of protein. Having a healthy diet can boost students’ concentration, focus and cognitive functions.

Communication

At our school, we provide our parents with information on their children’s activities and progress. We provide the following reports:

Daily Reports
Incident, Injury, Illness Reports
Progress Reports
Meetings with Teachers and Directors

We want you to feel at ease and confident about where your child spends their day.
